Inner Healing Is Actually Identity Healing

Understanding what’s really happening beneath the surface of healing.
For years, I was deeply involved in inner healing and deliverance ministry. I’ve walked people through long processes (well over 500 sessions). I’ve sat with individuals dealing with trauma, soul wounds, and what psychology would classify as DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) -where parts of the mind compartmentalize to survive overwhelming pain.
And I’ve seen Jesus heal people in powerful ways. I’ve watched individuals walk through deep inner healing, experience breakthrough, and gradually come back into peace and wholeness.
But over time, the Lord began to show me:
What actually brings healing isn't the process, tools, or the methods. It’s the revelation that enters the heart through the process or methods used.
Inner Healing Helps People Receive The Father's Love That Heals and Brings Freedom
Here’s what I now believe: Inner healing works - not because it heals every broken part through process, but because it helps the heart finally receive the Father’s love and embrace true identity. This is because under every wound or fracture there are lies in place.
That’s when freedom comes. When the pain in the heart is replaced with the Father's love and the places of the heart are filled with the Father's love - healed and set free. That’s when trauma loses its grip. That’s when the “parts” integrate and the soul becomes whole because there's no reason to compartmentalize anymore - no more reason to dissociate. The need for fragmentation disappears. Nothing can stand against the Father's love, not trauma, not pain, not demons... nothing.
Why the Mind/Soul Fragments
In cases of trauma, especially complex trauma or abuse, the mind does what it must to survive—it compartmentalizes (dissociates - or fractures into parts).
One part holds the pain.
One part protects.
Another part dissociates and disconnects.
This is a real psychological and emotional response, and I honor the reality of it. I’ve seen it. I’ve helped people walk through it. Dissociation is actually a gift from God.
But here’s what I now understand:
Those “parts” only exist because the person doesn’t yet feel safe. They don’t yet believe they are loved. The heart is still disconnected from truth through all the "unlove" that was experienced.
What Changes Everything?
The Father’s love. When someone encounters His love - not just in theory or intellectually, but in their heart - through revelation - everything changes.
The need to self-protect melts away.
The fragmented pieces no longer needed.
The lies collapse.
Truth is received, which brings healing and freedom.
This is what the Bible calls “being made whole.”And it doesn’t come from effort. It comes from revelation.
Inner Healing is the Long Road
Inner healing is a tool that can help bring someone’s heart to the place where they’re finally ready to trust the Father’s love and accept their identity as a son or daughter.
And that’s beautiful.
But now I see it more clearly:
Inner healing isn’t the destination or the process that must be done. Sonship is. And sonship doesn’t require a long process.
You Can Start With Sonship
Instead of walking people through layer after layer of trauma, trying to peel back every layer and find all the parts…
What if we could just help them:
Receive the Spirit of Sonship?
Encounter the Father’s love?
Understand they are already whole in Christ?
Understand it's all been done for them?
Even though i've seen many go through lots of inner work and get a lot of healing - I’ve also watched people go through years of inner work and still need so much more. And I’ve recently been watching many receive one revelation of the Father’s love - and never be the same again. I'm not saying that sonship isn't a process, the only process of sonship is learning to trust the Father more - and we are all in that process - always will be. Technically, that's really the only process we are even in.
My Message to You
If you’re in inner healing ministry, or if you’ve been through it - please hear this:
I’m not against it. I’ve seen it work. But I’ve also seen something better - not only seen it for others - but also for myself.
The instant healing that happens when the heart encounters the love of the Father.
He doesn’t work in layers. He doesn’t heal part-by-part. He restores us by making us new and calling us sons.
When the heart receives that…The soul stops striving. The mind comes into peace. The person becomes whole. The person becomes free. We become what we already are - healed and free.
Not by effort.
By revelation.
I say all this to say this:
There’s no need for any “process” when the person can have an encounter with the Father’s love that heals them and sets them free.
